Kodak have announced the availability of the new award-winning Kodak Professional BW400CN film. Designed to be processed in C-41 colour negative chemistry, this multi-purpose, black-and-white chromogenic film was recently voted "Best Film in Europe 2004" by The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).
The TIPA judging panel issued the following statement about its choice: "With the introduction of the BW 400CN black-and-white film, Kodak has shown its continued commitment to film. The outstanding image quality and the very convenient CN-processing makes this the black-and-white film of choice for photographers who are looking for the artistic value of black-and-white photography."
Kodak Professional BW400CN film will be available in 35mm and 120 format. The film will replace both Kodak Professional T400CN and Kodak Professional Portra 400BW films.
Kodak have also announced that improved Kodak Professional Portra 800 film is now available. Improvements include finer grain for smooth enlargements and increased latitude for under-exposure.
